Draft — pending counsel review
JobGiant, a Start My Business Inc. company.
Last updated: October 24, 2026
This is a working outline, not a final privacy policy. Counsel must review data flows, regional requirements (CCPA/CPRA, PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25, LFPDPPP), biometric consent, retention, and service-provider terms before it becomes effective.
JobGiant, a Start My Business Inc. company, operates in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This draft applies to people who browse JobGiant, create a member or employer account, ask for application assistance, post a job, or contact support.
We collect account details (name, email, phone), resumes and work history, target roles and job preferences, headshots you approve, application instructions, employer job posts, and support messages. We also keep proof records: a log of each submission with screenshots showing what was sent, where, and when. Technical logs needed to run and protect the service are collected as well.
If you give us login details for an employer or job portal, they are stored in an encrypted vault. Application staff may use a vaulted login only while working an active submission task you requested, and every access is logged. You can remove a stored login at any time through support.
Optional verification (the Verified badge) is handled by a third-party KYC vendor that checks your government ID and a liveness selfie. The vendor processes the images; JobGiant stores only the verification result and a reference ID, not the images themselves. Biometric identifiers are processed only by the vendor under its own retention schedule, with written consent where required (including Illinois BIPA, Texas CUBI, and Washington law).
We use information to operate accounts, show job listings, submit the applications you request, maintain your proof log, route applications to employers, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Application information goes to the employers and application portals you select. Service providers process information for authentication, hosting, email and SMS delivery, payments, identity verification, and support, under contracts that limit their use. Application staff access only what they need to complete a requested submission. We do not sell your personal information.
United States: state privacy laws including CCPA/CPRA give you rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing (we do not sell data). Canada: PIPEDA applies, and Quebec Law 25 adds a French-language policy, a named privacy officer, and granular consent. Mexico: LFPDPPP applies; a Spanish aviso de privacidad will describe ARCO rights (access, rectification, cancellation, opposition) and consent for transfers outside Mexico. Regional versions of this policy will be published before launch in each market.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the service, proof records, dispute handling, security, and legal obligations. Verification reference data tied to deleted accounts is removed on the vendor's deletion schedule. No online system is completely secure; final retention periods and safeguards require counsel review before launch.
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information through the contact form or by email. We verify your identity before acting, and we may retain some records where required by law or needed to resolve a dispute. Deleting your account removes your vaulted portal logins.
Employer websites, job sources, and authentication providers have their own privacy practices. Their policies apply when you use their services or follow an external application link.
Employer logos shown on JobGiant are cached copies that we fetch from a third-party logo service when we add job listings to our index, and we serve them from our own servers. Displaying a logo does not send any information about you to the employer or to the logo service.
Send privacy questions and deletion requests through the contact form or email [email protected]. Read the separate cookie draft.
