Job Ad (2026 05) We're looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer to run our production deployments and act as the operational point of contact for our US-based client team
has two modes. During release cycles, you focus on planning and executing deployments alongside the client. Between releases, you focus on improving the infrastructure and tooling that supports them: CI/CD pipelines, runbooks, observability, automation.
The right person for this role is comfortable in Kubernetes and Helm, knows their way around a Linux shell, and is fine flexing into US working hours when there's a deployment in flight. You're someone who likes things to work, communicates clearly when they don't, and stays calm when production is on the line. WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO DO During deployment cycles: ● Plan, schedule, and execute production deployments in coordination with the client's engineering team ● Flex into US working hours (afternoon/evening Romania time) during deployment windows to align with the client on releases, change requests, and incident response ● Act as the day-to-day operational point of contact between our team and the client during release cycles ● Investigate and resolve deployment, networking, and infrastructure issues in production, escalating to the engineering team when needed ● Communicate deployment status, risks, and incidents clearly to both client and internal teams Between deployment cycles: ● Improve the deployment infrastructure and tooling: CI/CD pipelines, Helm charts, runbooks, observability, automation ● Work on broader cloud and Kubernetes operations: cluster maintenance, networking, secret management, cost and reliability improvements ● Help shape deployment processes and change management as the platform grows Requirements QUALITIES ● You take pride in clean, predictable deployments and good change discipline ● You enjoy working directly with a client team: writing tickets, joining their stand-ups when needed, being the single point of contact during deployment windows ● You're fine with a schedule that flexes (some weeks heavy US overlap, some weeks normal EU hours) instead of a fixed 9-to-5 ● You stay composed during incidents and communicate clearly under pressure ● You ask questions when something looks wrong instead of pushing through ● You document what you do, so the next person (or you, three months from now) doesn't have to reverse-engineer it ● Comfortable using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Copilot, etc.) as part of your daily workflow QUALIFICATIONS ● 3+ years of experience in operations, DevOps, SRE, or related hands-on infrastructure roles ● Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ● Solid Kubernetes experience: deployments, services, ingress, debugging pods and workloads.
