The role

calls for someone who can coach teachers with warmth and rigor, handle sensitive student and family situations with sound judgment, and use data to make decisions. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Instructional Staff Management Directly supervise instructional staff, holding weekly 1:1s focused on coaching, support, and goal setting. Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training for new teachers.

Observe live instruction and office hours on a bi-weekly basis and provide actionable feedback. Monitor grading practices to ensure students receive timely, high-quality feedback. Complete annual and semi-annual walk-throughs and performance reviews as outlined by the ODEW and manage bi-weekly timecard approvals.

Coordinate instructional and grading coverage for teacher absences. Address performance concerns through clear expectations, documentation, and, when needed, formal improvement plans in partnership with People Operations. Student Conduct, Attendance & Academic Integrity Own the school's student conduct process, from initial report through investigation, determination, and documentation, applying policy consistently and fairly and creating policy where needed.

Oversee academic integrity cases, including investigating suspected plagiarism, AI misuse, and other violations, and ensuring consistent, well-documented outcomes. Own the school's truancy and attendance compliance process, including required notifications, documentation, and filings under Ohio law. Partner with the Student Support team, which leads outreach, intervention plans, and ongoing student support.
